The 27th Floor

You’re standing. There’s a tall building in front of you, you NEED to go into that building of 29 floors. You walk in, then to the reception, you ask for directions and the floor u are going to is the 27th floor. As you approach the elevator… you see a NOTICE!!! “Elevator is out of service” and you CAN’T leave the building without getting to the 27th floor, because it’s Very Important. Then you decide to use the stairs, You start climbing……. You make it to the 5th floor, then the 8th, you keep going and you take a break on the 13th floor.. your heart it racing, you’re sweating, it feels like you are going to collapse, u are thirsty. After 20 mins, you begin to climb again.

You make it all the way till you get to the 21st floor… seems you can’t go on.. you’re about to give up… Feels like the building is moving or shaking or not stable. On your way to the 22nd floor you slip and fall, you’re weak, tired, helpless…. then you remember the 27th floor. How bad u NEED to get to that floor and how it will change your life for good. Thoughts start going through your head.. you’re thinking of what it will be like.. you know ..life changing, ONLY if you get to the 27th floor. All these thinking keeps you determined to keep moving, not to give up now, to fight! Before you knew it you’re on the 26th floor, and you didn’t even know it. This unconscious slight smile is drawn on your face when u actually realize that you’re about to climb the stairs leading to the 27th floor and you say to yourself “FINALLY” i made it, thank you Lord.
Oh and of course, what happened on the 27th floor? it was actually a meeting that got you promoted to the positon you’ve always wanted, even though ‘You’ was looking tired and sweaty before he got to the 27th floor. The struggle, the stress, the fight, was worth it after all. Even though, the elevator was back in service some hours later and other people had the privilegde of getting to the 27th floor using the elevator.
Well… some people have to work their ass off, and struggle to become an achiever, while some just do a bit of work and pow! there they are...Some don't even have to do anything :(
Life.
