The 27th Floor

You’re standing. There’s a tall building in front of you, you NEED to go into that building of 29 floors. You walk in, then to the reception, you ask for directions and the floor u are going to is the 27th floor. As you approach the elevator… you see a NOTICE!!! “Elevator is out of service” and you CAN’T leave the building without getting to the 27th floor, because it’s Very Important. Then you decide to use the stairs, You start climbing……. You make it to the 5th floor, then the 8th, you keep going and you take a break on the 13th floor.. your heart it racing, you’re sweating, it feels like you are going to collapse, u are thirsty. After 20 mins, you begin to climb again.

You make it all the way till you get to the 21st floor… seems you can’t go on.. you’re about to give up… Feels like the building is moving or shaking or not stable. On your way to the 22nd floor you slip and fall, you’re weak, tired, helpless…. then you remember the 27th floor. How bad u NEED to get to that floor and how it will change your life for good. Thoughts start going through your head.. you’re thinking of what it will be like.. you know ..life changing, ONLY if you get to the 27th floor. All these thinking keeps you determined to keep moving, not to give up now, to fight! Before you knew it you’re on the 26th floor, and you didn’t even know it. This unconscious slight smile is drawn on your face when u actually realize that you’re about to climb the stairs leading to the 27th floor and you say to yourself “FINALLY” i made it, thank you Lord.
Oh and of course, what happened on the 27th floor? it was actually a meeting that got you promoted to the positon you’ve always wanted, even though ‘You’ was looking tired and sweaty before he got to the 27th floor. The struggle, the stress, the fight, was worth it after all. Even though, the elevator was back in service some hours later and other people had the privilegde of getting to the 27th floor using the elevator.
Well… some people have to work their ass off, and struggle to become an achiever, while some just do a bit of work and pow! there they are...Some don't even have to do anything :(

The Obstacle : Part One

Nobody is perfect, Nobody knows all, We all make mistakes. Sometimes, we have to take a step back to take 3 steps forward. Some people even say.. "Every failure, is a blessing in disguise".
Have you ever been in a situation whereby everything you do, just always seems to go wrong? or when you start something or a project in your life..you have difficulties finishing it? Like there's always something in your way?
Do people make decisions for you? Have you ever had a say in your own  life? Has your mother always looked at you like you are nothing? She sees you as someone who is a total wreck and can never achieve something good in life? Or do u feel like God is punishing you for something u did? Hmnn. let me tell you a story.

Nisha went to one of the best High schools in Lagos. Her mother went through hell to pay her school fees till she graduated from high school. Nisha has always wanted to school abroad, but her mother couldn't afford such(This wish of hers was known to no one). The father was never around, So, i will not be talking about the father.Besides he's late now (died when she was in grade 10)
When Nisha graduated from high school, it took her two years to gain admission into The University Of Lagos. She entered through a diploma. She was 19 years old. Nisha made good friends and all, but later on along the line, she derailed. She wasn't the Party all night type of girl or drug addict or even an alcoholic. She was just lazy with school work, sometimes she wouldn't even go for lectures. First semester exams came... she failed.. second semester... she failed again. Then she had to repeat the diploma program. This time she was ready to be serious, attended lectures regularly, did assignments and all that. But then.. The University made a new rule for the diploma students. They had to pay the full school fees for the year, before they could be allowed to write the first semester exams. At this time Nisha's mum had already paid half of the school fees. so she had to complete the payment for Nisha's to write her exams, but she din't have the money. She even went to see the VC of the university but all efforts made was in vain. So Nisha couldn't write the exams, and that's how she lost the opportunity of repeating the Diploma program. Nisha was so sad and confused, she din't even go back home..People started calling her, her mum, brothers, aunties, grandma, and others. Nisha didn't pick up their calls , she just stayed back in school, because she didn't know where to start from.

(Nisha grew up as a lonely and scared little girl. She was scared of her mum, because her mum could be crazy sometimes. Nisha was in a world of her own. She never asked for advice. she was never allowed to got to birthday parties and visit friends when she was a teenager. she drowned in silence.)

After a few weeks, Nisha's mum called one of Nisha's friends to tell her that her Aunt will be taking her to South Africa to continue school. When Nisha heard this, she was not really sure, she just thought her mum was saying that so she could come home, but hen, there was evidence that Nisha was really going to SA, so she went back home to get all the paper work done and all for her trip to SA. Obviously when Nisha got home she was scolded and insulted and what not. For the fact that Nisha  was not allowed to go out, or even go see friends, she decided to take that step on her own. (By then she was 20 going on 21).  She started leaving the house without telling anyone.. sometimes she wouldn't even come back home for 2 to 3 days. She went to school to chill with friends and just fill free. But then Nisha met a young man, He was studying Law at the University Of Lagos. Actually.. Nisha met the young man, the 2nd year of her being in The University of Lagos(when she was repeating her 2nd Diploma(that she was unable to complete). She met him through her male friend IBK, who she had feelings for, but it wasn't mutual, so she fashy'd him. Not that they stopped being friends, but they never had a relationship. Nisha got pregnant for IBK's friend and she din't even know until the pregnancy was 4 months. Her mother had noticed some changes in Nisha, she had put on weight (Nisha  is a slim girl), her stomach that used to be flat, had lost it's shape and was becoming bigger.. she looked fresher and she used to spit a lot
Nisha noticed this changes as well.. but she never thought she could be pregnant, of all things.

How To Call The Police

George Phillips of Meridian, Mississippi was going up to bed when his wife told him that he’d left the light on in the garden shed, which she could see from the bedroom window.

George opened the back door to go turn off the light, but saw that there were people in the shed stealing things.

He phoned the police, who asked “Is someone in your house?” and he said “no”. Then they said that all patrols were busy, and that he should simply lock his door and an officer would be along when available.

George said, “Okay,” hung up, counted to 30, and phoned the police again.
“Hello, I just called you a few seconds ago because there were people in my shed. Well, you don’t have to worry about them now cause I’ve just shot them all.” Then he hung up.

Within five minutes three police cars, an Armed Response unit, and an ambulance showed up at the Phillips residence and caught the burglars red-handed.

One of the Policemen said to George: “I thought you said that you’d shot them!”

George said, “I thought you said there was nobody available!”

Hahahaha

The Diary Of Anne frank

A True Life Story…...

The author of the diary, Anne Frank, was a teenage Jewish girl. She was born on June 12, 1929 in Frankfurt, Germany, where she spent her early years with her parents and Margot, her older sister by three years. In the summer of 1933, the family moved to Holland, because the Nazis and Adolph Hitler had come to power and began begun to persecute Jews in Germany. In Amsterdam, Anne at first attended a Montessori kindergarten and grade school. After the Nazis invaded Holland in 1940, however, she had to leave her school for a Jewish one. Anne made a smooth transition in the new school and was a good student.

Anne Frank

Throughout her childhood, Anne was compared to her older sister, Margot, and judged to be less intelligent, talented, and beautiful. She was aware that her parents thought she was inferior and resented their attitude about her. In truth, Anne was a much more lively and personable girl than her sister. It is, therefore, fitting that her name, rather than that of Margot, is the one remembered by millions of readers.

Anne’s father, Otto Frank, was a wise and resourceful man. After the Nazis took control of Holland, he made plans for the family to go into hiding, hoping to avoid arrest and imprisonment. In July of 1942, Anne and her family entered the secret attic that Mr. Frank had prepared in the Amsterdam office building where he had worked. They remained in hiding there for more than two years and were joined by the van Daans and Mr. Dussel.

For the time she was in hiding, Anne recorded in a red checkered diary each and every observable fact, coupled with her own reflections. The entries reveal her to be a sensitive and wise human being and a gifted writer. Fortunately, even though she was died in a concentration camp, her diary survived to tell of the horrors she experienced during the war and to reveal her amazing, indomitable spirit as a young teenage girl.

On August 4, 1944, the Gestapo, acting on a tip, arrived at the office building to conduct a search. Even though the Dutch protectors tried to distract the Nazis, they did not succeed. The bookcase hiding the door to the annex was moved and the hideout was discovered. When the Nazis entered, the occupants stared in frightened silence. Offering no resistance, they simply packed a few things and left with Gestapo. Anne’s diary was left behind.

The entire group, including Koophuis and Kraler, were taken to Gestapo headquarters, where they remained for questioning for a few days. They were then sent together by train to Westerbork, a retaining camp in Holland. During the journey, Anne, who had longed for two years to see the outdoors, stared out the window of the train, watching the passing scenery. Upon arrival at Westerbork, they found the conditions to be bearable; even though there was overcrowding and a lack of food, there were no gas chambers, firing squads, or crematoriums.

It is reported that Anne and Peter spent their time together while they were at Westerbork and seemed relatively happy. After all, they were enjoying more freedom than they had experienced for the last two years, and they were probably both too young and naive to understand the full danger of their position. It has also been reported that Mr. Frank was allowed to visit Anne in her barracks at night.

On September 2, the Franks and van Daans were gathered into a large group to be sent to concentration camps by train. They were herded into cattle cars, which were sealed after entering. After three days they arrived at Auschwitz, where the men were separated from the women, and the children were separated from the adults. It was the last time Otto Frank would see his family.

Anne, Margot, Mrs. Frank, and Mrs. van Daan marched together with the other women into the horrid concentration camp, where their heads were immediately shaved. They were also stripped and given only a sack dress to wear. It is reported that when the weather turned cold, Anne Frank managed to find and wear a set of men’s long underwear under her sack dress.

The women in the camp were divided into groups of four or five for purposes of work assignments and food distribution. Although Anne was the youngest in her group, she became its leader. She often was given the assignment of distributing bread to each barrack, which she always performed cheerfully and fairly. She also displayed a great deal of compassion for the prisoners who were less fortunate than she.

On October 30, 1944, all the women in camp were stripped and displayed before a searchlight. Those that appeared healthy were separated from those that were old, sick, or weak. The latter group, including Mrs. Frank, were obviously destined to be sent to the gas chambers. Anne and Margot were selected to be sent to the Bergen-Belsen camp in Germany. They were again crowded into cattle cars that were sealed and traveled for several days.

At Bergen-Belsen, there were no regular work assignments. Neither were there regular food distributions, so most prisoners were starving to death. Typhus was also rampant, and many prisoners fell gravely ill and died. While there, Anne’s condition deteriorated rapidly. By the time she encountered her girlfriend Lies, Anne was ragged, emaciated, staving, and miserable. When Lies tried to give her food and clothing, they were stolen by other prisoners.

Margot contracted typhus during a camp epidemic and was critically ill for a long while. Then in late February or early March of 1945, she fell into a coma and died within days. Anne, who was also sick, was not even told about her sister’s death. Anne herself died a few weeks later, just a few weeks before the British Army arrived and liberated the camp on April 15, 1945.

As she had hoped, Anne’s diary was preserved and first published in 1947. It is a usual day-to-day accounting of most unusual circumstances. Simply written, it is an outpouring of feelings and thoughts during the most trying of times for a young Jewish teenage girl during World War II. It is also a noble testament to Anne’s bravery against Nazi cruelty.

JOKE

Little TONY was sitting on a park bench munching on one candy bar after another.

After the 6th one a man on the bench across from him said, “Son, you know eating all that candy isn’t good for you. It will give you acne, rot your teeth, and make you fat.”

Little TONY replied, “My grandfather lived to be 107 years old.”

The man asked, “Did your grandfather eat 6 candy bars at a time ?”

Little TONY answered, “No, he minded his own f ** king business.”

JOKE

Little TONY returns from school and says he got an F in arithmetic.

“Why?” asks the father.

“The teacher asked, ‘How much is 2x3,’ ” I said “6”, replies TONY.

“But that’s right !” says his dad.

“Yeah, but then she asked me “How much is 3x2 ?”

“What’s the f ** king difference ?” asks the father.
